My Approach

As your therapist, I strive to balance two important elements: change and acceptance. Together, we’ll explore what brought you here—clarifying the life you want to build while learning to live more peacefully with what can’t be changed. Therapy with me is collaboration to work through your mental health concerns and a companionship through life’s inevitable messiness.

Growth happens in the context of genuine connection. My first priority is to create a space where you feel understood and accepted. I see every behavior—good, bad, or confusing—as your best effort to cope with what life has given you. And I aim to be authentic with you, so what I say aligns with what I truly think and feel. These conditions—empathy, authenticity, and acceptance—allow real growth and self-discovery to happen.

When more structured support is needed, I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Depending on your goals, we might look at how thoughts influence emotions and behavior, explore your personal story, strengthen motivation for change, or process past trauma in a safe way.
